Run by the Gardens' education team — led by a qualified teacher who is herself a home educator — across 180 acres of world-famous arboretum and grounds. The one-hour Friday sessions for home-educated children mix hands-on activities, games, crafts and seasonal nature learning, with the topic changing each week (for example nature journals, signs of spring, a campfire and craft session, or meeting the arborists). Booking is essential and every child must be accompanied by an adult. Session price is around £8.50 for members (one adult and one child); non-members pay more and also need garden admission.
